Utility company shuts off power at World Trade Center
WILLEMSTAD - After several attempts of getting their money and also warnings towards the management of the World Trade Center (WTC), the utility company has now shut off their electricity. This took place today.
Now several government departments and the Curaçao Medical University are in the dark. The government entities that are located in the WTC complex are Central Bureau of Statistics, Human Resources Organization and Urban Planning. There was nothing left for the civil servants to do then to go home.
Curaçao Chronicle spoke with the Dean of the medical university, Ryan Jackson MD and he said that they are looking for options. He did indicate that the management of the WTC was unjustly charging them 682,000 guilders for some air conditioners.
