OM: “Pay your motor vehicle tax on time!”
WILLEMSTAD - With effect from 1 March 2018, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) will prosecute drivers who have not paid their car tax after that date.
The Police Corps Curaçao (KPC) has now started the traffic controls and will intensify these after March 1, and penalize those who have not yet paid the vehicle tax for the first half of 2018 or for the full year, said the OM in a press release.
“Pay your taxes on time. Fines are already being issued! The Public Prosecution will start prosecuting violators on March 1, 2018. Failure to pay your motor vehicle tax may mean that your vehicle is taken off the roads. In that case, you will be charged a fine and the towing expenses for your vehicle,” said the Public Prosecutor responsible for traffic.
