Oil supply Venezuela to refinery will continue for the time being
WILLEMSTAD - The supply of crude oil from Venezuela to the refinery on Curaçao continues normally despite the closure of the border with Venezuela. That was what Prime Minister Rhuggenaath stated during the public meeting of parliament about the relationship with Venezuela.
Incidentally, there is no official Venezuelan document about the closure of the border with the ABC Islands. The government has only received information via Twitter. On December 19, President Maduro said in a tweet that he seriously thought about closing the border with the islands.
Rhuggenaath then contacted Caracas, but that did not yield any information. Then it remained silent. Curaçao rejects the unilateral decision of January 5 and urges the government in Caracas to lift the blockade of both shipping traffic and air traffic as quickly as possible.
