This is why it is the government’s objective to continue open doors to strengthen the relations with the Central American country.
As part of the program, the Prime Minister will meet with the President of Panama Juan Carlos Virela, the Minister of Commerce and the Minister of Agriculture. In September of 2017, Premier Rhuggenaath already met with the Panamanian President during the General Assembly meeting of the United Nations in New York. This meeting gave both leaders the opportunity to continue discussing topics that are beneficial for both countries.
Since the Prime Minister is in Panama, he will take the opportunity to participate in the exposition called Jewis Treasures of the Caribbean. This is a collection of photographs taken by Wyatt Gallery. During a period of time, Gallery traveled to various countries in the Caribbean to take pictures. The exposition tells the impressive story about the Sephardic Jews who had to travel from Europe to various countries in the world. Several of them came to Curaçao and continued to St. Thomas and Panama.
