More than 85,000 kilos of garbage during carnival
WILLEMSTAD – Waste management company Selikor collected more than 85 thousand kilos of garbage during the carnival road marches. Slightly less than last year. The collection of garbage went faster compared to other years.
Partly because of the 6000 garbage bags that were tied to the road barriers. Many spectators helped Selikor garbage trucks immediately after the various marches. According to Selikor, this is a good sign that people are more aware of their responsibility to keep the streets clean after such a big event.
Selikor indicates in a press release that everything went well during the garbage collection. There were no incidents. The public has responded very well to the company’s call to deposit all waste in the garbage bags alongside the road.
