Kluivert Dog Rescue Center started construction
WILLEMSTAD - The construction of the Kluivert Dog Rescue Center on Curaçao started on June 27. A large-scale project, which can also be followed on television in the form of a documentary series after the summer. The intention is to construct an animal shelter with the capacity for 800 dogs.
It will be a big project, where in addition to the dog shelter, there is also room for a volunteer home, an operating room, an educational space and of course good and safe accommodation for the dogs with shadows and room to move.
There is a lot of confusion about how it is now with all those foundations in Curaçao, because Dog Foundation is also working on the construction of a sanctuary. That's right and both parties are working together again on various projects. The sterilization project recently carried out by House of Animals was also fully supported by both foundations.
In Curaçao there are various foundations and private individuals who have a warm heart for the animals. A number of these organizations have started the Animal Welfare Platform Curaçao together. A lot is being done from this platform, in which various foundations and private individuals work together. Catching dogs and cats, sterilization campaigns, feeding dogs and cats on the streets, treating sick or wounded dogs and cats or letting them sleep, fosters, adoptions, etc. Donations that go to this platform are subdivided into their members.
