Instructive visit Intertraffic fair
WILLEMSTAD - The Members of Parliament who are part of the standing committee on Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning received information about the latest trends in road safety.
The delegation led by committee chairman Stephen Walroud attended the trade fair Intertraffic in the Amsterdam RAI. Around 800 exhibitors from all over the world present innovations that should contribute to the greater safety of road users, from pedestrians and cyclists to cars and trucks.
Curaçao scores poorly every year with an average of 20 traffic fatalities. Incidentally, this number can not only be reduced with the help of technological gadgets, because they usually have little influence on the behavior of road users. Nevertheless, the MPs return to Curaçao with a great deal of new knowledge.
There was a lot of commotion about the costs of the trip on social media because some of the participants had already visited the fair two years ago.
