Dutch help desired with refinery negotiations
WILLEMSTAD - Curacao is going to the Netherlands early next year to ask for help in finding a new operator for the Isla refinery.
This is according to the Prime Minister of Curaçao Eugene Rhuggenaath. At the moment Curacao can still do everything by itself, but if the negotiations continue, the Prime Minister would be happy to have assistance from the Netherlands, for example when it comes to setting environmental standards.
PDVSA’s contract will expire at the end of 2019.
