Dean CMU invited to become member of Club of Rome
WILLEMSTAD - Dr. Ryan Jackson, the Dean and Managing Director of Caribbean Medical University, has recently been invited to become one of only 102 Full Members of the Club of Rome. That organization, which is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, is known for their work to promote sustainable development, has many prominent members including Princess Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard (former Queen of the Netherlands), King Juan Carlos I of Spain as well as former heads of state from Mexico, Brazil, Russia and other countries.
Dr. Jackson is the only Full Member of the Club of Rome in the Caribbean and he is also a Board Member of the US Association of the Club of Rome. He has co-authored several publications with the Club of Rome and has spoken at their meetings in the Vatican, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, Yale University, George Washington University, the UN Headquarters in New York and other places.
Dr. Jackson will use this position to continue to help the community in Curaçao as well as the many places he volunteers around the world.
