Curaçao can still claim almost 17 million euros from EU funds
WILLEMSTAD, BRUSSELS - There is still almost 17 million euros from the European Development Fund waiting for sustainable projects to be submitted by the Curaçao government. But time is running out, because the Cabinet Rhuggenaath has only two weeks to claim that available money.
The Prime Minister paid a working visit to Brussels three weeks ago and spoke with representatives of the fund about the possibilities of financing projects on Curaςao. This concerns, for example, sustainable neighborhood improvement, renewable energy and own food production.
Initiatives are now being identified that may qualify for EU funding.
