CTB and CHATA welcome international chefs
Arriving for Flavors of Curaçao event
WILLEMSTAD - This year will see the third edition of the Flavors of Curaçao culinary festival, organized by the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA). The event caters to the local community as well as visitors. A total of five international chefs will be on the island to participate in this year’s edition. The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) is delighted to contribute to this project, especially in view of CHATA’s aim to invest the generated funds in projects that will benefit our tourism and community. The chefs will be participating in two separate events during their stay in Curaçao.
The first is an intimate dinner on September 28, prepared by three of the international chefs: White House Head Chef John Moeller, Walt Disney Chef Antonio Albertsz and Executive Chef at Goya Foods Fernando Desa. The second event, on Saturday, September 29, on the Hilton Curaçao parking lot, is Flavors of Curaçao. At different times during this event, the chefs will be delighting those in attendance with unique demonstrations of their culinary art. On Saturday, the event will include Justin Niessen, a Curaçaoan chef with his own restaurant in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, as well as Fernando Desa, John Moeller, Michelin Star Chef Matthijs Mulder of the Netherlands and Antonio Albertsz.
