Coast Guard and Citro bring divers in for safety
WILLEMSTAD – The Coast Guard yesterday received the call that a boat from a diving school had problems with its steering. Immediately an interceptor boat was sent to the location and the Citro was informed.
The diving vessel was anchored at Coral Estate and had a total of seven people. Of the seven people, six were tourists who were diving.
Because of the rough sea, it was unclear how long the anchor of the boat would keep the boat steady and therefore contact was made with the coastguard. All divers were taken out of the water. They were safely taken by the Coast Guard interceptor to the Coral Estate dive center. The boat has been towed to Piscadera.
