Appointments Common Court of Justice
THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - Mrs. A.J.M. van Gink and Mr. S.M. van Lieshout will become new members of the Common Court of Justice Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. The Kingdom Council of Ministers has decided to nominate them for appointment on the proposal of Minister Dekker for Justice, also on behalf of his colleagues from Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten.
Ms Van Gink (1965) became a criminal judge on 1 December 2018 in the appeal of the Common Court, with Curaçao as its location. She is currently chamber chairman of the criminal sector at the Court of Appeal in 's-Hertogenbosch.
Mr. Van Lieshout (1960) is now a senior judge at the Central Netherlands court. He will become a criminal judge at first instance of the Joint Court with effect from 1 December 2018, with Curaçao as its location.
